I had to reseed my lettuce and onions bc I didn't keep the starter soil wet enough!!! :barnie It wasn't like none have come up, just 3/4 of it came up and some of the cells were dry. SO, I know have both a mister and a small watering can with a thin nozzle inside the little greenhouse and I'll be checking every day. Peas are up, leeks are up, spinach is up and I just planted 72 cells of cabbage, actually 18 cells, and I'll be planting another 18 cells next week, etc. to see if I can plant in succession...or not. MY gardening is FULL of experiments.

I lost some onion seed this year because too dry, but I am not sure that was the only reason because I had other pots watered the same days and amount as the ones that came up. I may have to buy some purple/red onion plants this year.

I uncovered the garlic and it is just now coming up. Raining and DH loaded truck with tree limbs BY HIMSELF for the dump, drove there and unloaded BY HIMSELF and back home. He was moving firewood with the wheelbarrow the other day and foot slipped on ice and fell to knees and hit his head on driveway, but he is okay.

I started some sweet peppers and tomatoes here in the house. I don't really have a good sunny window so I'm not sure how this will work.

Wow, he has been doing a lot. I'm sure the exercise is good for him but more importantly it's good for his soul. Makes him feel useful and accomplished. Glad that he is ok after that fall.

I poured a couple of cups of de-icer at the base of my sheds sliding door last weekend and managed to shove it open enough to squeeze in. Now I can retrieve my soil and starting flats and get started.
I do the same for our garage doors, pouring ice melt along the part where the door meets the floor, so that it won't ice shut every winter.
