Ray, Just a thaught ... You should check the home owner's insurance policy to see if the insurance company would back out of paying on the policy if that tree that is "growing into the home " , just happens to be blown down in a storm and causes dammage to your home. Since the neighbors are aware of the situation and refuse to at least trim the tree , they just may be personally liable. The next door neighbor just may whistle a different tune.

The potatoes I planted on Easter are just barely coming up. I would have thought they would be quicker than that, but they were hardly sprouted, so maybe not.
Onions and cabbage are looking good. I transplanted a few flowers into the garden yesterday; more need to go in today. I guess it is safe to put tomatoes and peppers out. No night time temps below 50 for the forseeable future. The seedlings have been spending day and night outside for about a week, so they should be hardened off OK.

On Saturday DH, myself and two little helpers planted peas, green beans and 3 kinds of potatoes (red, white and blue!) Moved some strawberries and brought starts out of basement into greenhouse on deck.

Melons!

Into containers, although I really think that in 2016, the seed could have gone straight into the garden on this date.

Diplomat Galia
Goddess Cantaloupe
and new this year, Yellow Doll Watermelon

A few more Muncher Cucumbers since the seed sown earlier was old and appears to be failing ...

Oh! The joys of gardening! Really happy when these ripen. Thank you research people for coming up with varieties, I can grow!

I "trans"planted last weekend, 2 mums that I bought on clearance in November and put on the south side of the garage (orange), moved to the beds in the front by the sidewalk.
I transplanted 6 volunteer lettuce and 2 cabbage, and, apparently, a handful of volunteer carrots.
