I just read to soak you cukes in ice water for 5 to 6 hrs for crisp pickles.

The only thing I did differently was to add two 15 oz. cans of tomato sauce. It just did not have enough liquid in it for me.
It is really good. In 2 days my husband and I have already eaten 2 pints
