We have been eating snap peas and broccoli.

I understand that not all the feds have always considered broccoli politically correct. I'd call them "freedom buds" - however, that name is probably now protected under plant variety statute, hereabouts.

Cat, I am sure Mary, Marshall or Steve can fill you in on that fiasco, it is much too painful for me to relive. For a while I thought I would be bunking with Snowden in a gulag in Siberia.

Blackberry, blueberry and purslane smoothie straight from the garden, with a little kefir for the liquid, Truvia sweetener and ice.

Yeah, the weed! There's a tame variety you can grow too. Both are related to Moss Rose (portulacas). It's super nutritious with the most Omega-3's of any plant source and lots of other good stuff. It tastes like spinach, with a slight lemony aftertaste. You can eat the leaves and young stem tips. It made for a nice consistency to the smoothie too, as a thickener.

I pull that out of garden by the hand full. How are you suppose to eat it?
