I cleaned and lubricated all the hose reel boxes in the yard, mounted a new one out back on the wall. We turn off irrigation when it starts freezing but its only 49 so far. Less to do later. Cleaned and staked tomatoes. They have lots of fall fruit and flowers but I do not think much will happen past Oct and thats probably pushing it. Started pulling up the garden. I am going to remediate it over winter most likely so I took down some fence for dumping the soon to come leaves. Cut grass, strimmed. Replanted a small bucket of naked ladies. I thought there would be just a few bulbs from the volunteers in the woods but each had 10-20 bulbs. More than I bargained for but spring will be showy. Relocated 3 sky pencil hollies that B was trying to shade with a japonica. Also 2 lilies of some white sort, forgot the name. Big Brother or something like that. Big flower, standard height. I have more lilies to move, or at least put in a bed where they wont fight grass as hard. Me as well. I think I am staying in the yard because the tea olives are blooming and their fragrance is hypnotic to me for some reason.
