It was but we didn't transplant until late, either. Leeks & onions are out there, now.

Are you talking about seeds into the garden? I don't know, I've never done that.

I've sown both onion & shallot seed in the garden and might still put some shallot seed out there. That has worked altho shallots are not nearly the size of leeks. Still, size may not make any difference for when you use leeks in the kitchen.

No, they are leek seedlings I started. Shallot seeds, sounds kind of interesting. I might do that too.

A storm is coming so I picked some flowers. Homegrown flowers can always make unique bouquets.

We got much needed rain between yesterday and today! With the help of my 9yo we transplanted almost 10 trays of seedlings. Most were flowers :).
We also had:
Watermelon
cantaloupe
Tulsi
Malabar spinach
Marigold
flower mix
Forget me not

I still need to transplant few more trays which I'll do today:
Okra
Nasturtium
Zucchini
Yellow squash

I love taking advantage of rainy days to transplant. This was I don't have to water!

Tilled 1st section of main garden, dug up and tilled (hard to do, since my hostas, daylillies and other perennials have Really filled in) the two beds north of the garage.
First time I bought bedding annual flowers and planted them the next day!!
Red wax begonias with the dark leaves.
Tomorrow I will plant the red geraniums.
