What Did You Do In The Garden?

I pulled weeds. I throw them over the fence to the pigs and they snack on them. If I don't toss them weeds, they come to the fence and grunt and squeal at me.

Put mulch around 3 small rose bushes planted in fall, only way to make sure there not mowed over.

I was just sitting here telling DD and DS that there are 2 peony plants coming up in the front and 1 peony in the back and going to have to make sure they do not get mowed. Going to mulch them tomorrow really good.

Nyboy, I got tired of getting small bushes mowed over, so now I put a small metal fence post in when I plant something. So far, no one has mowed over a 3' metal post.

My rabbits have me trained too. They watch me when I am in the garden and wait for me to bring them something. Right now it is weeds.

One of these days I am going to have pretty flower beds. I have a few patches here and there, but I want really pretty beds that look planned, not the haphazard slap-dash thing I have going now. But on the flip side, we have done so much, built so much, we can see the progress we have made, but I miss pretty flower beds.

I pull the biggest ragweed and give to the sheep. They do love some ragweed!
