Finally got my low tunnel up, with the Agribon material applied...good thing, too, as something has been chawing on my pak choy like crazy. Didn't touch the lettuce, broccoli, carrots, etc....just that pak choy. Still have room in that tunnel for greens, so will be planting another tray of lettuce this week. Still have another short tunnel to do as well as one at my son's garden.

Got the Fortex beans planted, got some weeds hoed out of the garden, trimmed up the honeysuckle by the gate, put a handle on the gate, planted a rhubarb plant that I removed from my son's garden~he didn't want it! :th My brother came out today and told me of a guy he knows that wants to get rid of his rhubarb too~15 plants of it!~so I told him to grab all he could for me. One can never have too much rhubarb. ;)

Removed a mailbox from a fence post where I was storing hand tools...the thing was infested with ants and I no longer store tools there, so it's gone. Looks better with it gone. Tied up the peony...it's about to bloom for the first time in 11 yrs!! :celebrate

Built a garden gate for my son's garden and worked on wooden trellising for his porch as well. Put a handle on the garden gate I recently did for my garden out of the old picket fence from my son's place...looks better now. Took a few pics here and there as I went along...

Two beautiful days for working outside, though. Just what I need .... to put some distance between the kitchen goodies and myself.

Now to start on a garden bed for myself. I am also going to put pavers of some sort on the paths to keep future weeds from getting such free reign in the beds. What a mess!

I am missing time I could be planting. DD was sick the last 2 days and I took her to the doctor. Fever of 102, backache, dizzy. Turned out a virus, but no idea what kind. She seems better. DH is so confused and tired. I almost want to do the carpet on the beds and go the the Farmer's Market too.

Okay, this is getting bizarre. When Pickles died, she was the first rabbit to die and that was about 2013 and that is when the neighbor dumped their rabbit Snickers, so it was getting winter and I put him in the hutch. Last spring Cream died and right after that Shorty showed up in the yard. The neighbor caught him and thought he was ours. We asked around the neighborhood and nobody ever saw him before, so Bella died Sunday. She has been sick on and off and on and today there is a new rabbit in the garden. Looks very young. Ran under the neighbor house. Asked around and nobody ever saw him before. If I catch this rabbit I am taking him to the shelter. o_O

WooHoo I finally have a fence around my garden. It is a conglomeration of different types of wire and such but it's up! I planted my tomato and pepper plants this a.m. and hill up around the potatoes. I also tucked a half dozen sweet potato plants in here and there. I will be going to the store later for some seed. Since I can't have a pretty garden maybe it will be productive at least!
