I picked a cabbage. I fried a skillet of bacon, chopped the cabbage and stir fried it in the bacon grease. I crumbled the bacon over the cabbage, added a dash of soy sauce and YUM!

Missed showing you the "chive harvest" ;). Here's the spring bok choy. It is especially tender when grown under plastic.

Enjoyed this very much like Bay's cabbage, except just with lil' smokies and no sauce. Served with short-grain, jasmine rice.

Purple Orache!

DW had them cooked (with a little sausage) before I could get in the house. So, I missed getting a picture of the first spring "greens" from the garden!

Here's a picture of a bed of volunteer Orache from a year or two ago:

I picked a red cabbage, yellow carrots and orange carrots. I made a slaw with them. I also cut up some of the carrots to cook for supper tonight. I picked the few beets that made it and I'll roast them tonight. I picked radishes and drizzled olive oil over them and chopped up some rosemary and have them in the frige. I'm going to roast them too, thanks to @MIchael Hibberd posting about roasted radishes. I dug out 4 small new potatoes because my mom is hungry for them and I'll pull us some green onions to go with supper too. I have duck liver and gizzards thawing out and I'll fry them for supper. Anybody hungry? Y'all come on over!

Oh, I am drinking some dandelion and spearmint tea, picked them this morning too.
