I love peony's- they don't mind being transplanted. Pick a spot and enjoy!! If there is a really big clump, you can divide up into smaller sections. Good luck!

Yep--it's a peony. I've pulled some out while weeding, so I just relocated them and started another bush. Really pretty and hardy flowers!

Peonies are one of the "Problem children" in a flower bed. They can sometimes be very stubborn about blooming if things aren't just right.

Peonies are great! A spot in a lawn with a 3 foot cleared circle will make it very happy.

I have 4 peonies, one which I bought for a song at Aldi's and put on the west facing bed of my garage. It is already past full bloom. The other 3 are lined up with partial shade from established trees and THOSE are just starting to bloom. They are hardy but you Can prune them. I understand that they HATE to be moved once they've been in a spot for several years. I got tired of mowing right next to my garage, so THAT one gets to stay, along with rhubarb, yarrow, chocolate mint, a hydrangea, and couple of mums, and whatever I fancy to plant there this year.
