You should take him up on his generous offer to teach you how to make a stir fry. A stir fry is done quickly and the results are delicious. :drool AND a stir fry is easy--so easy even Nyboy could do it and not poison his friends--or himself. You need to learn this..... :thumbsup

Another trick I use is to pour some olive oil into a small bowl then add my seasonings and let them soak for a while.

Then I brush said veggies with my flavored oil and cook. This is my go to for most of my grilled veggies especially asparagus and sliced zucchini/yellow squash.

That's a good idea, @Jared77 .

There is a cooking term for that but I've forgotten what it is. The process has to do with the "essential oils" in the seasonings. They mix better with oils than water.

If you will be cooking with oils and seasonings, I bet it makes sense to do this in every situation.

My beautiful and brilliant wife deserves all the credit for educating me on this technique. It works great though. Oil gets cooked off and imparts a lot of flavor on the veggies.
