We just had a few rough freezes which destroyed most of my plants. I have plenty of room now to plant some colder hardy plants. Aside from lettuce and spinach, what should I plant?

I checked that site out but there were no links for January or February, just March. I plant on going with some celery, cucumbers, peppers, tomatoes and spinach, as well as some herbs. Do you think all these are cold hardy enough? We shouldn't have any more freezes.

As long as there aren't any more freezes they will survive but I suggest (if you are starting your own seed) that you will want to start the seeds indoors where they can stay warm and have a chance for proper germination. Most all of those seeds you mention like to have the soil around 70 degrees for germination....

I've never started anything indoors before. What do I need as far as light goes? Will a window on the south side be sufficient? It's not 100% sunny but it's warm.
