Blue sky day and about an hour after sunrise, I checked the temperature in the greenhouse. It was in the high 40's (9°C).

Outdoors, it was in the 40's by then but had dropped into the 30's, earlier. We are getting back to that after warmer than normal.

I really dislike fretting about the greenhouse temperatures. It helps that the ordeal starts later in recent years. There won't be much choice in a week or so.

Cat' , you like old thread :). Here's one from 12 years ago when I still had that lower elevation garden, etc. and was making an earlier start of things.

My greenhouse is 90 degrees on a cold sunny day.

I am not sure if you mean greenhouse outside. All I have is one of those little portable ones but onions, leeks, cabbage, kale and collards. They have spent the night out of the greenhouse in open air and in shade during the day, but I put them back I thought it was going to rain and now some colder night temperatures, so I will bring them in tonight. Inside greenhouse tomatoes, peppers, morning glories, thyme, parsley, lemon balm, basil.

Haven't started much indoors yet, I'll make a decision on that later today. But the experimental potato onions planted in early March are doing fairly well. I lost a few shortly after germination though, because I changed all the bulbs in the fixture last year, and underestimated how rapidly the trays would dry out. :(

Last Fall, we brought two tuberous begonias into the house to over-winter in the basement. The white-flowered one sprouted, and seems perfectly happy under the basement lights. The yellow-flowered one came up too, but looks a little odd... I suspect a squirrel did some genetic tampering.

With so many of my ash trees dying, I think I can find a place for that "yellow begonia". :D
