Deeply Rooted
They are the Homesteader heirloom tomatoes. I looked up the conditions that you mentioned Chris, and none of them sound right. The yellowing started in the middle... and there is new healthy growth at the bottom of the plant. So I don't think it's anything to do with any virus or bugs. (I COULD be wrong tho... LOL)
As far as the Miracle Grow... it is 24-8-16
The plants looked decently healthy when we brought them home from Lowes. I think WE might have inadvertently caused them some distress by not watering them enough after we planted them. I'm pretty careful when it comes to what paper we use for shredding and only use white paper, sometimes I will use yellow depending on the print. I don't shred paper that has very heavy or colored ink on it. That being said, sometimes the kiddos do shredding as well, so I can't be certain that THEY haven't put some of that in there. I will have to do a better job of making sure that none of that makes it in there.
I'm not so sure it's the paper mulch tho, because it started before we put the mulch on, and the other plants are all doing so very very well and are using the same paper mulch. Most of the ones that we have put it on have came back and are doing so well now.
We had originally started our own seeds, but, they all died. We have one plant left from our original seeds. We weren't very organized with our garden this year, being our first year! Next year we intend to start our tomatoes much earlier than we did this year.
