Does a cast iron pan count :) Other than that, probably the kitchen aid mixer. You can make a LOT of banana muffins with that mixer :drool

Don't understand need of garlic peeler. One swift hit with side of knife, garlic out of peel.

Got my Swing-Away manual can opener today! This unit's guaranteed for 5 years in english and french!

Looks like this one might last 5 years, even for an ole Neanderthal up in the woods.

The nice kitchen store in Ukiah had no P38's. (I was the only non housewife or kid in the store, but the lady who owns the store seems to know how to cater for folks who want something that won't break. Unbreakable things seem to be on the bottom shelves.)

I like all kinds of kitchen gadgets. Decent scale, zester/grater, kitchen aid mixer, cuisinart, all clad pans, potato ricer (which I used to make pear butter), good knives, etc...

There's that little Martha Stewart trick for peeling garlic too.

Any excuse to eat more garlic!
