I believe the fruit, which starts out green turns a shiny white and the seeds turn from greenish to red. I'm guessing you'll learn. Don't expect huge berries, though. These will be smaller than most garden strawberries but larger than Alpine ones.
They are not hybrids of red berries, but can be grown true from the seeds on the berries.
Evidentally, there are different varieties of white strawberries (pineberries). The original strawberry -- found growing in South America -- was white. Some varieties must need red berries for pollination, but native strawberries are able to set fruit and form viable seeds for planting.
