I say that those hot summer days are "good days" for weeding. The activity kills the weeds or the weeder. Either way, the task is accomplished.

Why do I always think I don't mind weeding? My lonely little brain cell only seems to remember those warm spring days when the weeds are juveniles and slip right out of the ground, the sun is shining and a soft breeze blows the sounds of bird songs through the air.
When I KNOW the reality is big reseeding overgrown weeds on a hot still day when ten million other things need my attention.

We do have some advantages here in the Wild West, @thistlebloom .

Arid conditions are to our advantage in weed battles. Simply transplanting them because of moist conditions is discouraging. Daily rain must make weeding enormously difficult.

Sitting on a stool, wearing gloves, scratching weed seedlings out of the ground; Song Sparrows scratching around the veggies or singing in the raspberries; garden labor doesn't get too much better than that.
