why gardeners REALLY hate ground hogs!

Happy Birthday Rich. :)
I hope they never find the garden. The ones we had where AWFUL. They ruined so much produce by just taking a bite or two out of nearly everything in reach. Guess what? They can climb!

Happy Birthday, RICH!

Around here, there are Marmots. Really, they are the same thing - the groundhog is a Marmota somethin'rother. Marmots live from 6,000 feet plus in Colorado to sea level in Alaska. It is just my luck to intercept that line. Imagine a 20# groundhog.

For those with experience, the story is that Marmot meat tastes very rich . . .

No ground hogs here......scuff toe in dirt.....er.......mud........we just have to settle for armadillos.....not bad bar-b-qued.......tough to shuck though.

Such haters, I love Ground Hog Day, probably because it's my birthday!!!

We didn't have many ground hogs around here until last year when 1 took up residence under our front porch, odd thing was they never bothered the garden, knock on wood.

:clap Happy birthday, Rich! :clap I hope this day was a good one for you. :clap

You'd better be watching that ground hog! They can do a lot of damage with their digging.

Your armadillos have moved this far north but the only ones I have ever seen are playing opossum on the side of the road!!!
Thanks for the birthday wishes, everyone.

THANX RICH
