Well, they were going to put them together to make a birthday cake, so the missing one made a difference. Came out OK, but I was spoken to like a little boy.

Act like a little boy; get spoken to like a little boy. However, who makes exactly the needed number of muffins anyway? There should always be a buffer of bites in case of accidental muffin pilfering such as your home had.
