Beautiful pictures everyone! Awsome web April! Believe it or not we had some snow about an hour ago - it fell for about 2 minutes. We've had some much needed rain since Saturday - 4" in my rain gauge and below average temps.

Such pretty photos! I hate winter, but I think snow is beautiful! All that we have here right now is MUD MUD MUD. We got about 3" of rain between Sun and Mon, and have left the yearly rainfall record in the dust! I am worried that if it snows this winter like it rained the rest of this year, I need to be socking away the acorns.

Joan, that's 4" precipitation in 4 days - so, compared to 16" in 365 days, that would be about 4 months' worth for here!

Yes, wonderful pictures!

Here in North America, we are experiencing a positive Arctic Oscillation right now. NOAA explains it as tho' the atmosphere is like a bowl with air sloshing north and south. I like how the atmosphere is colored in shades of purple on their story about this (click). It is sloshing south right now, holding out the storms from this corner of the world. This will continue for the next week and a half, I guess - then, we will see.

It is a La Nia winter but we are will have to wait to see what that will mean with all this air sloshing going on . . .

Kassaundra - love the train tracks shot!
Thanks I had to climb up a pretty steep hill in the ice and snow for that one. I have another shot I took right after that one of the road below and my husband getting out of the car to tell me "I'd gone far enough and need to get off the tracks!!!!" Such a worry wort.

Awesome web shot, I don't have many of those at all, and nothing that pretty.

Any winter day we have mud and not ice I view as a plus!

Well I'm glad the next one wasn't a closeup of a train!

I'd thought those were just common crows on the tracks but maybe he's seen that Hitchcock movie .
