winter squash-how to get into?

Well after reading this post I think I will stay away from winter squash! I am always cutting my nail! even with my knives kept sharp!

I can't see myself struggling to cut them when I'm only 5' and 110lbs. I just don't have the strength. :/

You could always grow delicatas, a little heirloom winter squash with sort of a sweet potato taste. The skin is so thin that many people eat it skin and all after baking.
It almost got lost because the thin skin means it doesn't ship well for long distances so they stopped growing it commercially but farmers markets have brought them back. It's a great item for there.
