I'm in Butternut, about 1 hour south of Lake Superior. We are fairly overwhelmed with wet, heavy snow--DH is out pushing the 2'+ drifts around so we can get the car out eventually! Spring will come, spring will come...
I'm gardening in Marion Wi. We can and freeze enough veggies for the whole year. I'm really proud of the pantry when the cold weather arrives, knowing we will have good quality food till next year.
Wild grapes are used for grape jelly....my favorite and only jelly I like to eat. We preserve others like strawberry, raspberry and blackberry, but I just love the wild grape?
Thanks for the welcome.... I really need to get my trasnsplants started before long. My list will be heirloom varieties only. 4 different tomatoes, brussel sprouts, greeen peppers. I seed everything else into the gardens. Bring on the fresh green onions and radishes that go well with a cold beer!
