Congrats. I went and looked it up in my copy. You are right chickens don't mind expired food.......

That's awesome, I'll have to go get a copy.

Indeed, I usually purpose my scraps either for the chickens or for the compost. Then the chickens get IN the compost and get the treats they feel I had denied them.
