My seed potatoes are 1 1/2 - 2 1/2 inches and have a TON of eyes. Should I cut them smaller which if I went by number of eyes they would be 1 1/2 - 2 1/2 cm in size! So what do I do? Thanks

No potato expert here but I think you could go either way. Do you need a "ton" of potato plants in your garden?? For awhile, you may need to baby the tiny plants from every eye .

I would break off the extra sprouts and leave only 2 or 3 on the whole or larger chunks of seed potatoes ;).

Size seed potatoes before cutting. Potato seed pieces shouldn't be smaller than 1-1/2 to 2 ounce. Smaller than an ounce may be too small for optimal production. Be sure that there is at least one good "eye" in each seed piece!
