Youngest daughter is working as a mechanic

I like it that she is doing what she wants to do and what she likes to do. Good for her! As a young woman, in 1978, I hired into a huge welding and fabrication shop, building oilfield pumping units. It was hard, dirty and if something fell on you, you were dead or seriously injured, I loved it. There were few women and men got in my face telling me I didn't belong there, that I was taking a MAN's job. I strongly replied back and told them off in no uncertain terms. Haha. And my mother wanted me to take an office job...……:tongue

Yay for your daughter for not taking a conventional "woman's" job. She can do ANYTHING!

It's good that you had the patience to show her how to fix things, good that she wanted to tag along with her dad, good that she picked up a valuable skill in doing that, and good that finally the workplace has acknowledged her ability. :thumbsup

Hi flowerbug ~ yes, holding me own. just today put a Idler arm and pitman arm in my truck ~ steering wheel is no longer in dead center ~ bummer ~ the steering wheel will only go on one way so I can't center it ~ the pitman arm has slots so it should be right ~ I got that done before the next snow ~ but that's going to bug me ~ how bout you ~ how you doing ```

doing well here so far thanks! :) not too much snow on the ground now. i am just puttering around inside, doing a lot of reading and fiddling with computer stuff to keep my mind busy.

i understand your being bugged by something like that, when something isn't right then it gets me curious as to why and so maybe a good learning opportunity...
