Those Morton Building ads were in that banner yesterday, RidgeRunner. Maybe if you got me one of those . . . .

Yeah, I had to close the tab and reload TEG on another the first time that banner ad did that but I can now fit the cursor in and just get that button clicked - that may be a monitor resolution solution (if'n I've used the right terms :p).

This isn't really a criticism because I am learning to be more adaptable --- but about those "watch alerts." I want to take advantage of those! Like with this thread - I disabled the alert, probably the 1st day on the new forum. I'm gonna watch it again! In fact, it now makes sense to me to get all those alerts I was dodging there at first.

So, when I clicked "watch the forum" for the Feedback & Announcements, it said that there was a "server error." I can watch most everything right now but . . . there will come a time . . . when I'd like to take advantage of those alerts but shouldn't even take the time to glance at somethings! Previous summers, I've checked out the Fruits & Vegetables and Everything Else Gardening and that's about it on many a day. Don't want to miss on those . . .

An interesting experience just now. When I tried to “Mark Forums Read” that Ford F-1 add blocked out the box to confirm yes. No box showed itself that would allow me to close that add.

I’m using Internet Explorer, probably version 10.

I just had that happen, first time. I scrolled on down and the box for marking the forum read followed me down, but the ad stayed put..then I was able to click it.

ETA: I"m on IE9

Ya, I don't have it happen all the time, just once in a while... which makes troubleshooting this really really tricky!

I had some trouble awhile ago, on both my little acer chromebook and my toshiba on windows 7, both the google browser and ie11, but I think I have it fixed, at least on the chromebook. I was suspecting spyware emanating from my yahoo mail page.

Did some google search and found that in my google apps there is a tracker finder called GHOSTERY. Googled some more about this ghostery and decided it was a safe and good one. So I loaded it and did a restart.

Sure enough, when I used it on my yahoo email page there were the usual ad searchers, plus there was one that is used by businesses for conferences, but had no business at all on my yahoo email page. Called USER VOICE. What the heck??? Apparently unbeknownst to me, some sicko was listening to me.

Now, all they would hear is me sitting here talking baby talk with Clevland, or talking to both Peeper and Clevland wrassling around, or me commenting out loud about some things looking at my facebook tab like, why is Mark O. having insomnia, and 450 miles from him another friend also having insomnia?

So, now they are strangely spying on what you say. Dang! Well, I disabled that one, and while at it, disabled some of the other things.

Sure enough, TEG is working now. Before I did this, the typing box didn't have the rich text in it, and sometimes the cursor would not click in it.

So, careful with the spyware and things like that. They can affect TEG and how it works.

Am I wrong about some detail? I don't know how it got in, but it happened AFTER I used my old windows laptop.

I notice the new site is S L O W. I now click on whatever I want, switch sites, then come back. The other sites switch as fast as you click on thread. Not a big deal but is a little annoying.

Seed, might want to check to see if you have any kind of malware. Seems that some malware only slows some sites down and not others. I am guessing only, but almost as if the spyware targets the page you click on the most.
