a bit windy and some snow this morning, but above freezing now and for a few more days at least. snow melting is ok, we have enough of it on the ground it won't all go at once.

Last Tuesday, Mardi Gras, was the coldest day of the year down here, lower 20's. Looking at history and the ten day forecast I'm getting ready to plant beans and corn in about a week from now. Got a load of compost today. I've dug some in and plan to dig more in tomorrow, just getting ready.

Last week we were living in a winter wonderland with -5*. We had the wood stove going and wearing layers to stay warm. Today the sun was out, snow almost gone, temp was 70* and I had the windows open wearing capris & sandals. Texas, gotta love it!

It was a Chamber of Commerce day. Thanked the Big Guy for letting me be a part of it. Got a lot done outside too.

One week ago it was -6, today’s high will be 75F. Only in Texas.

we now have four days this week forecast for 40-42F and no days below freezing, some night's still below 20F. quite the change from last week. now starts the worry about having too early of a spring. haha, a gardener's worries are never done, but i try to not overdo that as it can be a bit too much like self-chewing (which may solve one problem but cause others 
).

Today is rainy 52F and 3/4 of an inch in the rain gauge. Nothing will be happening outdoors today. The yard is a lake and the rooster pen has a creek.
