Dang. Up all night with tornadoes. First one of the season hit north Birmingham tonight. I cannot sleep upstairs with winds. Life pro tip: Always buy a comfortable couch.

Just woke up and saw the one from North Birmingham. It hit the Fultondale area. Have a lot of friends and family down there that it just missed and a few more I still haven’t heard from. It’s really sad this is one of areas that took severe damage back in April 2011.

You could not get me to live in the Jones Valley for anything. The twisties get in the valley and run the length of it.

We haven't had any thawing in 4 or 5 days so our snow, 1/2" Sunday, 1/2" Monday, 1/2" last night - is still out there painting our landscape white. It sounds like another 1/2" is coming by noon tomorrow.

Salt has gone on our highways. I suppose that I should be happy about that.

Drone footage of the tornado damage last night. The neighborhoods are toward the end. At least F3 but some houses collapsed so maybe F4.
