What sunshine? Dark until 7am, Dark again at 4pm, Foggy at All Hours between.

Snow-covered landscape and snow falling with Sky and Landscape all looking the same. This time, the street asphalt is covered. The near-freezing, near-thawing temperatures must have chilled Everything sufficiently. The snow may not last but then, fog may just be the replacement.

I'm curious how southern British Columbia will fair with the remaining November storms. All that flooding, those damaged highways, bridges, evacuated towns - earlier.

It rained here Sunday night. I think we got around an inch. Today and yesterday have been sunny and cold. One forecast is predicting a low of 26 tonight. The other 31.
Thanksgiving may be a bit dicey. It’s supposed to rain and none of the forecasts agree on the low for that night. They range between 40 and 30. If it drops below freezing while the roads are still wet....

a VERY weird warmness at 4am-- last night I opened one of the coop windows and propped the door open in the coop, it was to warm in there.

We had a pretty early snow this year, and it will keep snowing in the coming week.

It is the 6th year since I have moved to Germany. Every time the weather changed (especially into coldness), I often got headaches easily. Well, I grew up in a sub-tropical area, and it might take some more time until my body gets used to the weather

It's also the first time for our cockerels and pullets to experience snow~ I don't know he is sleeping or feels cold

Yep. Pressure drops are probably my biggest migraine triggers. For years I thought it was just sinus headaches (I do get those too) but lot were actually mild migraines.

possibly also the cold dry air can make sinuses ache. check to see if your humidity in the house is too low.

snow on the ground now, i was hoping it was all going to melt off yesterday and it did from the driveway but the ground has some spots where the snow is sticking. not going to be able to do any more weeding if the ground doesn't thaw out again. grrr! i need to get some grass out of a garden before winter. i may have a few chances this week. we'll see...

Weather: Record warm, yesterday. High 50's. There have been 4 mornings without a frost and the WS says 3 more coming. Maybe yet another record day!

Dang. I was wondering if I was making a mistake NOT mowing the lawn about the first of November! It would have been quite unusual for me to do that but now ... it's growing. Surface soil is wet - we had about 1/4 of an inch more of rain, lately.

@Phaedra Geiermann , if you have moved from Taiwan to Germany, near Belgium, you have moved from about 25° North latitude to 50° North latitude.

For North Americans that would be like moving from the Florida Keys to Calgary, Alberta. Your weather is moderated somewhat by ocean currents but changes in daylight hours would be dramatic. (Probably nothing to do with headaches .)

I moved not even 7° about 50 years ago, not any 25° change. I'll never be used to the lack of daylight through the winter. Winter!. Really, I should say from about mid-November until mid-February. The feeling of being light deprived.
