Your Weather, 2022

we have no frost in the forecast this week for any low night-time temperatures but a cold night tonight in the mid-40sF. all rain chances every day then Saturday and Sunday get warm and some sunshine again. i'll need to finish up today and tomorrow morning whatever weeding i want to get done in the north garden and it will be ready for planting. it is coming along ok.

Yesterday it was 82*! That is very hot for all of those that don't have air conditioning. Our temperature is normally 67* this time of year. This heat wave is doing wonders for my melons and squashes. They are finally starting to grow.

Supposed to be hot for the next few days.

I really do not understand La Niña. The Pacific Ocean cools, shouldn't that mean that the entire North American West cools and has more rain and snow?

No? How is it that western Oregon has a very wet April LINK and it's dry as toast in eastern Oregon? That region is still having extreme or exceptional drought conditions LINK. Why is the Southwest so dangerously dry? Why is the coastal area of northern California so warm?

That 70° temperature barrier hereabouts may fall today but it doesn't look like it with all the clouds and it will still be a record late date. Warmest 2022 morning by hitting 52, or something like that. Moderate drought continues but I think the local weather service uses a sponge to collect rain.

14c here and feels like 13 according too the forecast reading. We have had a bit of rain and its still damp. We have be warned of thunder coming over from America soon.

In other other areas of the UK , London has had red rain I read they had an orange sand dust cloud which turned up from the Sahara and they are due this again and plus that's area had been warned to stay at home

Confusing times we live in :/

@digitS' i think the problem with the cooler water is that it sets up a high pressure ridge which blocks things from coming ashore. it takes a pretty good Pineapple Express to get through it.

the forecast for today was rain after 5pm. they'd changed the forecast from afternoon rains a few days ago. 11am it starts raining. i had plans to get some weeding done and Mom went out to get some work done on her project. none of that happened. c'est la vie...

I Believe it was the same year as the Krakatoa eruption.
Volcanos change our worldwide weather.
I am pretty sure that we are going to have a cool summer, with some wild up and down changes.
Let's see if my crystal ball is accurate.

Yesterday, a Stormy Afternoon.

The Weather Service sent out a warning about an hour before a possible hailstorm. No hail but I had all plants hardening off back in the greenhouse, early. At first, I thought we would have nothing but a sprinkle of large drops but then it rained for about 30 minutes.

@Carol Dee doesn't it look like these heavy rain storms and possible flash floods are coming your way?
