Windows CLOSED today! Just cool and some much needed rain. Let the dogs out at 6AM and I could hear harvesting. They had 4 more hours. SHOULD be no farmer's complaints this year. They had enough rain to get the crops started. The drought started but the fields were full of green all summer and into early Fall.
For farmer's it's like the bean people here.
EVERYTHING needs to dry out as much as possible for storage. Often (in my neck of the woods,) silos run fans to fully dry out field corn and soybeans. A very dry harvest season is a bonus.
Friday morning is gonna be 35 degrees. I intend to tarp cover the same one row of beans I covered last weekend.
Monday and Tuesday mornings will bre 28 degrees.
Can battle That one, so the Fall gardening will pretty much be over.
