Getting some Hurricane Francine rain today. It always aMAZES me that these hurricanes are so strong as to travel a thousand miles in a few days and rain on US.
My best memory was the 2014 drought when the remnants of Hurricane Dennis drizzled on us...all day.

Very cool today , weather has improved less heat and rain so desperately needed. I hope the rain will help calm down the many wildfires burning along the west coast from California to Washington. 🙏🏽

The rain started before we could get the raspberries picked this afternoon, but we did manage to harvest tomatoes as well as quite a number of dry bean pods. Looks like a wet weekend ahead. The slugs have been out in force for the past few days; they will surely take full advantage of this weather.

Misting? That wasn't quite what was happening, yesterday. The tiniest sprinkles that could almost not be felt on bare arms. Nothing became wet although the "precipitation" continued for several hours, off and on. The Weather Service will probably count it as 1/100th of an inch or something and add it to a monthly total. I swear! I have no idea how they measure events like this. The drops are not large or dense enough to run down the side of a car or pane of glass.

Anyway, there were clouds and I missed the full moon until this AM when I could see it through the trees and just before it disappeared behind the neighbor's house. 🌝 SUPER Full Moon.

Forecast is for pleasant, sunny weather ⛱️ with afternoon temperatures in the high 70's f (25⁰ C) for the remainder of the week, with little wind. We may see another 80 degrees F in 2024 but maybe not. Forecast suggests that it ain't likely that there will be a first frost anytime soon. Good news for our annual gardens.

Steve
