Today we are due for rain sprinkles on and off all day. Tomorrow it is supposed to pour rain all day and be windy! I better sneak a walk in today while the weather is descent.

It was howling wind here two nights ago. It ripped off our homemade gate from a 6x6 post on two spots. Our insurance specifically says NO WIND COVERAGE!! Maybe being near the Columbia River (about 9 miles away) makes our area more prone to wind damage.

I've been keeping up a little with a fellow who predicts long term weather trends. Yesterday he reported 2 disturbing trends on the horizon based on the current models, one that strange wave patterns are increasing (like those dangerous square waves) and also that January will have a crazy cold weather event in both Europe and North America, the TVA states in particular. Lots of pressure on the grid perhaps. I'm very curious to see how the next month will go!

Who let the dog’s out… who… who… there was a similar issue with the fencing for the dogs. A huge tree fell on a section of the fence and of course there was no room for the dogs to maneuver thru all the branches and tree limbs to get out. Thank goodness.

Watching a potential winter storm. Snow likely. High 23F. Winds NE at 10 to 20 mph. Chance of snow 90%. 3 to 5 inches of snow expected.

I cannot operate a snow blower right now. Best I can do is move my shovel to the basement so that I can shovel behind the house, and salt, then move to the side steps. Good thing I fed ponies by myself yesterday bc DD won't be able to drive over for me on Sunday/Monday.
