It's been really chilly here all day with the usualgrey sky.
It felt pretty icy this morning but it was reading at 4c by the weather forecast. I beg to differ

It's currently 4c again this evening and it should drop to 3c. The outside cat says it's colder and has tucked himself in since 5pm this evening 😀

Finally, some more typical Winter weather.

Maybe typical Winter "problems" would be more accurate since there will be snow shoveling and driving difficulties to contend with. Not much snow, looks to be 2" or less and no need to leave the property until mid-afternoon. By that time, the WS says that there will be several hours with little chance of additional snowfall. Hopefully, we will be back home by dark because you know what they say about olde people driving in the dark. Still and yet, a snow covered landscape and streetlights allow for better nighttime visibility.

There looks like little chance of this snow going away anytime soon anda fairly good chance of more coming. Morning temperatures will somewhat frigid. Maybe, afternoon temps will be warm enough for clearer roads where the government trucks have put down some salt. That's a maybe but it sure could help at intersections and on hills.

Just a tad more snow than I expected but light shoveling.

The flakes began falling again as I reached the backsteps. (The fact that I carried the snow shovel through the house to the front door indicates that it wasn't anticipated as a very serious task ;).)

I had a good X+ minutes of exercise but I ain't finished with digging out the car. That's regardless of what's gonna fall outta the sky. At least, it looks to be light. Despite parking their shovels beside their front doors months ago, the neighbors weren't very well prepared for snow on a work day. I suppose that since it's new for the kids, they may enjoy trudging through on their way to school. But then, all those footprints will turn to ice ...

Snow covering the landscape the past few days . Lots of icy spots out there so time to stay put inside today.
Low 29F High41F and heavy foggy overcast . In northern states temps across the country are freezing, while the weather forecast in lower south western states are warm and I can’t believe it 80F in Florida today.

If you need to store ice melt, I recommend painters buckets, like you can find at your favorite hardware store, line it with a tough (or 2 if you don't have any HD) garbage bag, put the contents or leftovers in their original packaging, seal tight and also buy a lid.
We are VERY HUMID here and that will keep any ice melt leftovers ready for the next season. ;)
The way our household figures, $ice melt is far less expensive than a trip to the ER.
