Nice today, NOT so nice on Wednesday. We will See about revised forecasts in the next 2 days. I may be putting ponies Back into their now Clean stalls already bedded down for next time.
If so, they are stuck until Monday bc DD's have outside of town plans for this weekend.
They do think of fun things to do. For instance, there is a small bar a block and easy walk from their house, in the tiny business district, and they are one of the test bars for yuengling beer on tap in Illinois, so I guess the old beer in the country is now expanding westward, 2 centuries later. Go figure...
They left dinner at Our house to go have a beer there yesterday. When you Walk to the bar, doesn't matter how much alcohol you consume!
Superbowl had already been decided by then, by halftime...not spoiling it for anybody that the Eagles, from my original home town of Philadelphia brought home the Vince Lombardi trophy last night.
I thoroughly enjoyed the 2nd half. After the Eagles had secured their win, and the score was 40-0, they gave the Chiefs obvious opportunities to put points on the board, for a total of 2 touchdowns and subsequent kicking points, so Final score was 40-22.
The Superbowl is an emotional game and the Eagles let the Chiefs shine a little before it was over, in the great American spirit of sportsmanship.

13 degrees F warmer out this morning compared to yesterday. we have the heat going so the crawlspace can be warmed up enough for the furnace guys to get down there this morning and remove the existing furnace before they bring in the replacement.

3F or 16F i sure would not want to be doing this sort of job at all... brrr! i hope they have some way to keep the crawlspace hatch covered and not let all that cold air in there or a space heater to keep it warm enough.

Sunny days and very cold nights will continue until the end of the week, which is spectacular. Seedlings go out each morning once it climbs above freezing, and then back in at night once it's good and chilly. With the sun reflecting off the snow it's so bright that I am having to shield the little plants with row cover. Others, like my experimental Poblano pepper and cold-tolerant tomato babies, stay in row cover bags all day for insulation from the cold (and any rogue winds that might arrive). It's remarkably warm when you put your hand inside those row cover bags; it takes very little sun to turn them into mini-greenhouses. Beautiful winter weather. We will enjoy it while it lasts. 🌿☀️
