@ducks4you

The weather look really dicey for your corner of the world.

There's a 90% chance of thunderstorms that you must be experiencing at the moment. Tornado watch ongoing for another 6 hours or so. The Weather Service looks to be extremely busy with tornados in Missouri but things are drifting in your direction.

a lot of rain here and some thunderstorms but nothing too crazy with tornadoes or warnings of them. every corner of our gardens up front here has puddles (because i made room to catch rains when they happen). Mom said all the fields and ditches had plenty of water and i believe her.

Not so bad, just some heavy rain. It was SUMMER MUGGY this afternoon!
I had garage work to do, I opened up both sides, emptied the dehumidifier and it started up again. In about 30 minutes (pre rainstorm) the floor looked like it had rained inside.
Low of 49 this evening.
2nd time in a week I have turned off the heat, and we will sleep tonight with our north facing bedroom window fully open.
This time of year when it rains a lot, the next day everything starts growing more and soaks it up.
UNfortunately, we have a hard freeze coming Tuesday morning. 🥶
I spotted a dozen blossoms on my 3yo baby peach tree. I think I will cover it and hope for the best.
I am Still hoping for cross pollination with my 12yo very tall and disappointing peach some 20 ft further west.

Fog, cloudy grey skies 2 hours later sunshine, then again 3 hours later rain and thunder clouds lightening. Couple hours later sunshine with a good sunbreak to get out and take care of gardening issues.
Low-43F, High-54F. Overnight temps 37F. This is April weather so fickle. Ups nd downs of temps even had hail on April 1 st .

The forecast for Sunday has been changed and it may hit 70⁰ f (21⁰C)! This takes some pressure off me to finish the garden expansion, clean up and prep, today.

It was 30⁰f at 5:30AM, so just below freezing and it was only 3⁰ above that in the hoop house after a sunny Friday after a few.degrees.colder that morning. I'm not intending to heat the hoop house but put a thermometer in there out of curiosity. No heat in the greenhouse either but it's nicely above freezing and warm weather plants are indoors, waiting for the sunshine in the South Window.

Flood warning has been cancelled. I got as much done outside yesterday as I could and I was done feeding ponies and replanting sugar snap peas before the rain, Heavy rain and off and on t storms yesterday evening and throughout the night. Dunno for Sure bc DH had his noise machine on "Thunderstorms."
We had a 7 hr window this morning of no rain. Steady rain Now until dinnertime, then a little bit forecasted for mid afternoon Sunday, then, sunny on Monday. Our ground is saturated.
We are expecting freezes or near freezes early Monday morning, early Tuesday morning, early Wednesday morning, then back to lows in the 40's for the week afterwards.
Been scratching that gardening itch!! :gig
