sunny but a bit windy and cool today.

we have hard freezes in the forecast for at least two nights this week, the days not very warm either. :( chances of snow tomorrow, but not a big storm.

warmest day is going to have to wait until next Sunday with 61F. coldest day 36F. tomorrow. good thing i don't have to go anywhere.

Rain rain and more rain. The back pasture has turned into a pond. The clay soil is saturated by the roadside it’s a river. The gutters have over flowed and left craters next to the out buildings.

All normal in the Pacific Northwest. We live in the middle of a rain forest and the trees are at maximum height 100’.
Many streams are overflowing in the lowlands and the ducks are at their peak swimming and calling for mates.

The deer and antelope are hiding in their forest shelters safe and full bodied ready to attack my garden delicacies.
Never underestimate the power of nature there is always more strength from watching and learning.

plenty cold enough here last night with temperatures down into the 20s (likely somewhere between 22-25F for our location last night). i'm hoping it is the last of this kind of cold for the season but i wouldn't count on that yet... not here...

We hit 33 for a low last night. Back was Killing me but the wool blanket held on the peach tree, so I think all is good. We have a Saturday morning low predicted for 30. I am about to go out, take the blanket and tarp and fold them up in the garage--probably back seat of the Cummins--and put them back on Friday night.
Next time--if there IS a freeze before we are over, I am going to look for the tent that has 2 shelter halves, and put one of them on bc canvas works better than plastic.
I also have a job planned for this tarp.
Some rain predicted today, but light, so I will ignore it. Heavier tonight. I HOPE to get all of the Purple Majesty potatoes planted today, if nothing else gardenwise.
