Had the first zuchini out of my garden yesterday. I got a bit anxious and harvested it small (about 4 or 5 inches) but it was delicious tossed in the wok with some onions and garlic. In a couple of months the neighbors and I will all be sick of them but right now they are really good.

No zucchini yet, but my yellow squash is going crazy --

(I started some zucchini and yellow squash indoors back in February when I was desperate to see *anything* green and then put it out way too early when it outgrew its little peat pot. Its companions all froze to death, this is the only one that lived.)

Silkie, I am in the same boat. I direct seeded my summer squash a couple of weeks ago and now have babies about 1-2 inches tall. Like you, I'm a very long way from harvest.

Hoodat - I envy you gardening in an area where you don't have to wait for late frosts!! Enjoy your harvest!
