I just pulled out a box of Christmas cards I picked up after Xmas last year. Almost all the envelopes had sealed them selves, I have this happen a lot. It drives me crazy paying $4.99 for a hallmark card. When I see cheap cards I stock up. Tring to unseal so card can go inside, rarely works without making a mess of envelope. Wonder if putting wax paper over envelope while in storage will work. Any one have tips on how they deal with this problem?

I've had cards for years and this has never happened. Perhaps because it doesn't really get hot here?

Here's advice I got thru Google:

"Put all the envelopes in freezer for two hours. It freezes the adhesive and a slight flip on the envelope flap with a knife will help. You can put inside a plastic cover before putting it inside the freezer, if you worry about the moisture. "

Then, NyBoy, you need to move to the desert.

The only sure-fire way I can think of to keep envelopes from sticking before use would be to seal them with a food saver. That would keep the air and moisture out until you wanted to use them.
