Daffodils contains "Galantamine". Which has now been discovered too slow down the symptoms of alzheimers disease.

It was thought that the Daffodil on the whole, only contained very small doses of glantamine. This was until a sheep farmer and Scientist found that in the Black mountains of Wales, this pretty flower contains a much higher levels of :Galantamine" making a much stronger dose

I have to say, Marie.

I was just out apologizing to the neighbor lady, who is working along the fenceline.

The apology was regarding the smell of chicken manure compost. Later, there will be nettle tea that will be made and go on the cabbage especially to both fertilize and repel bugs. It also has a repelling odor for humans! Likely, she already knows that from the last couple of years but we were there immediate after the chicken manure went on ... store-bought, guaranteed organic ... officially ;). I think she was okay with it.

You're a clever lad. Steve. :)

I've been working on my front garden since last week. I have to stop for a little while as I over did it, that's why I haven't been around so much. Being busy then shattered

There's a compost bin out the back area and i have been collecting vegetables too add to it. But finding this clip above has opened my eyes. Now I need a long handled hoe.

This clip was an eye opener in more way than one, because i didn't know that the stingy nettles could be used as a fertiliser.

Thank you for letting me know about nettles masking the odours.

I've bought six bags of compost and my friend is going to help me get them out to the back area this week sometime.

I made a start with growing some seeds. Onions carrots, brocoli and purple sprouting

I tried putting the seeds in tiny cardboard pots then place them in ziper bags. I think my carrots are starting already.

You never know I may actually grow something this year 🤣 but I best not speak to soon, it might bring me bad luck

I've already planted some rooted potatoes that I purchased from the store.

Again thanks for your support ❤️
