we have forced air heat so that moves the air enough to dry them down eventually. just the first few days after being picked do i have to worry about checking them for any mold. once they've been inside for a few days and turned once or twice they're good to go until they finish.
usually it is Mom who loses her clippers and we eventually find them in a bucket of weeds or back in the weed pile where she dumped the bucket of weeds. for me i try to always keep my tools in the bucket i'm using or in the same pocket or place in my room so there's only a few places they...
because you ran out of milk or because that is how you like it? i mix skim milk and water in my morning cereal most times because i really want a lot more liquid but i don't want to use that much milk and i can't really taste the difference anyways.
well, last i looked i'm decidedly male... but sister in spirit is ok with me... :)
i conflated candy corn with popcorn balls, but i'm ok with either, but i do prefer the softer and chewy caramel popcorn that Mom makes. it's gooey and way too sweet and not hard to eat a whole bag at a time...
ah, i mistook the candy corn for meaning candy popcorn balls, but i don't mind candy corn either, but in that case i like the chocolate bottomed ones better - if i'm eating them at all.
i was just talking the other day about the other Halloween candy that a lot of people don't like that i do...
i like about any ice-cream in it with nuts of any kind. :) funny how people can be so different in tastes.
those were around when i was younger but i only tried them a few times and then moved on. i do drink some soda once in a while (Mom and i will split a Coke sometimes because she likes...
do you have any local seed libraries?
plus there are some of us on-line who will send beans to people that want them. :)
but before doing any of that it is a good idea to think about what you like to grow, your space that you have for growing things and then also what you like to eat. if you...
planted... two gardens (not three), but also not planting in the same long garden i've been using the past few years to hopefully eliminate that from being the problem.
says you! :) i like it, but prefer caramel corn (the soft chewy kind that Mom makes, not that hard candy coated stuff that is dry like, well, popcorn...)
the dots on paper had a certain smell which now comes to me via the purple irises we grow. i ate miles of those paper tapes.
this morning i took apart the garlic bulbs i had left to get cloves for planting. a few months ago when i'd take some bulbs apart they were in excellent condition. i didn't store them any differently than i have in the past. a lot of them were rotted through and empty (about half) and most of...
all of them! i've always had a very dedicated sweet-tooth even if i've not eaten a lot of them for many years i still remember, plus i've made candies of various kinds.
i can also say that my recent samples (Halloween just went by and my brother had some leftover candy he gave to Mom today and...
i think it was @Zeedman or @Pulsegleaner (or both?) who've posted on them on TEG. search may give threads and/or posts...
i grew them once as a child. i can't recall if it was before or after growing beans in the same plastic blue container that was shaped like a tulip and i don't think i got...
clematis, daisies, reblooming irises, some decorative shrubs with pale to pink flowers... the frosts are coming around often enough now that i don't think much will be left in a week or two.
that's crazy talk man!
most of the flavor is in the peelings! but, hey, i'm ok if you want to be the rebel and peel away that icky stuff, if i were local i'd say dry them as they will get sweeter and be a much better snack.
hello and welcome to TEG from mid-Michigan (and not that far away for a change compared to being halfway around the world or country).
i have a lot of relatives over that ways and it is where i was hatched.
there's a lot of bean lovers here in TEG and plenty of choices.
