Oh yeah, summer is here in a big way! Not looking forward to our 100 degree days coming up. At least there are a lot of rivers and lakes around me.
I leave work at 10 pm a few nights...when I left Sunday there was a beautiful sunset happening. I'm sure going to miss seeing that with the days...
Sorry you're all going through that, Bay. Don't feel like you're going against her wishes by providing the nursing home care, its necessary for her comfort in her last days.
Sounds like she's in a great facility, i have a fond memory of some staff and even some residents of the nursing home...
Update on my baskets, they're starting to fill in. The blooming mustards are probably my favorite part right now! They're pretty whimsical and erratic and definitely make the baskets a little more dramatic while everything else is filling in. The black eyed susan vine is blooming in one basket...
*sigh* either of those trucks would look fabulous pulling our vintage campers - 1956 Aloha or 1955 Aljoa. Gotta get a few other projects done first...! Love them both!
I have also used KV Vet for Lucy's anti-seizure medications (which are expensive), and really liked them. They have tons of stuff too, dog beds, brushes, clippers. But I also comparison shop often when I go to buy it, and switch to different companies if they're cheaper - the prices change a...
Finally got around to some gardening today!! It was an expensive trip to PlantLand, about part way through, I looked in our cart and warned DH it was going to be a few bucks! He just rolled his eyes like "well, yeah, obviously!"
Sorry the pics are sideways, they were upright on my pad before i...
I use Rimadyl sporadically - to treat a minor limp, or if Lucy is really active. When we were on our trip to Oregon, we did more walks with her than normal, and her terrible hips don't have much tolerance for a very long walk anyway. So we gave it to her every day for about 5 days. But I think...
Hmmm, they look pretty green to call them dead. I wonder if they got some sunburn when they got transplanted out. Lots of plants take a break and don't visibly grow for some time after transplant, give them another week or 2 and see what happens!
Haha, I had a part beagle...we lost him so many times I can't even believe he got to grow old with us. Sometimes for days. But not a mean bone in his body - many kind people who "found" him (or he decided to go home with) asked if he needed a home or they could keep him, he was so sweet!
welllllllllll, I needed a new project like another hole in my head. New(ish) house with no gardens to speak of, a little vacation rental going on in our mother-in-law suite in our place, a 1956 Aloha camper trailer that's half renovated (but campable). DH has a vintage car restore going on with...
I had the awesome experience of getting to photograph these 2 male Harlequin Ducks the other day in Glacier Nat'l Park. Spent over an hour with them, took more than 500 pictures! As you can see they love the whitewater!
A friend, her boyfriend, and their combined 4 kids bought a house a few weeks ago. 2 days after they moved in, septic backed up into the basement where the kids rooms were. Previous owner was aware of this problem every spring. All their belongings contaminated and all 6 of them violently ill...
Oh, SweetMissDaisy, so sorry, you must miss not having your dear friend around, after her companionship for all those years. What a nice remembrance for her.
