Summer is here!

Oh yeah, summer is here in a big way! Not looking forward to our 100 degree days coming up. At least there are a lot of rivers and lakes around me.

I leave work at 10 pm a few nights...when I left Sunday there was a beautiful sunset happening. I'm sure going to miss seeing that with the days getting shorter.

I have 3 more days of sunshine reaching through the North windows. We made note this year. Four days before spring was the first time it shined in, the day spring arrived would have had the sun shining in if not for the storm clouds, and all too soon the cheerful light will be down below the house's peak and morning gloom will fill the rooms for another 356 days.

It's supposed to reach 107 on Sunday. Ugh.

We've been in the high 90's for three or more weeks. My gladiolas suffered. The entire state is suffering, esp with no water. My lawn has a hint of green, and only cus of the renters we have coming for several weekends.

We leave for Medford/Grants Pass for a family reunion this coming weekend. We are the youngest and are dreading the forecast. Most are much older and from Seattle area and Coeur d'Alene. 106 on Saturday and 105 on Sunday. UGH. So much for pot lucks, and sitting around catching up....

Murphysranch, we are planning on going up to our cabin in Dorrington during the Fourth of July weekend. Sure hope it cools down by then.
