What Haven't You Learned, from these People?

I was sort of PARALYZED this winter, trying to figure out how I was going to get my new garden beds built (where to even PUT them at our new house??) get plant starts going (where to put them inside the new house??) in time for spring planting, between working full time and cleaning/setting up...

Lack of funding for our National Parks?

Hey Murphysranch, congrats on your Parks tour, I'm jealous! I'll be getting a National Parks pass too, since we visit Glacier (20 minutes away) and Yellowstone (9 hrs or so) every year. Just the entry fee at those 2 parks and the pass pays for itself. Let me know if you're visiting those and I...

    I am resigning!

Ahhhhhh, Red, I hope I develop your flexible, relaxed outlook ...someday, any day! My DH would sure appreciate it also. Glad to hear your DH is active and outside, even if it isn't necessarily the project you would have picked for him!

    Best Tasting Water

I have 2 of these - almost identical to yours. 1 at work, 1 at home, and i'm drinking much more water as a result. So much safer than a pint glass, no condensation so I can set it down anywhere, and it doesn't make my hands cold (i hate that!).

What I've been up to and what is to come...

Good for you! I worked part time when I went back to school a few years ago, it was hard but one of the best decisions I ever made! I will say...adjusting back to "civilian life" after I graduated and started working in my field was weird! The first summer after I graduated, I didn't know what...

Baymule's 2015 Garden From Raw Land

Now I'm embarrassed, we moved in July last year and all I managed to get done is one flower bed so far! Not sure whether a veggie bed will happen this spring or not, too many travel plans... Good hard work baymule!

Lost my garden, job, and home!

Oh how awful. Especially after all your hard work. I'm hoping something perfect comes up for you... Maybe some of the cabin owners you've met would let you temporarily stay at their cabin??

Ya gotta have a strong stomach for this job.

We saw TONS, probably THOUSANDS, at Myakka River State Park in Florida, it was crazy how many there were. There were signs about them eating rubber off your car... Two black vultures fighting Black vultures sitting on a weir with Double-crested cormorants

Put a layer of cream cheese on a plate, then spread out a layer of pepper jelly. Perfect for dipping crackers, etc.

    Transplant?

Iris are amazingly tough. Last summer when we moved, I dug them along with other things from our old house. All the plants suffered horribly, I neglected them in pots for months and months and barely remembered to water them. Eventually, right before the ground froze we got a garden bed made and...

    Tiny Houses

I think they're really cute and creative...but seems to me its such an extreme! I agree the McMansions are ridiculous, and most people (even families) don't need more than, say 2,500 or 3,000 sq ft... But whats wrong with a moderate 1,000 sq ft house for a couple?

Just got this through the mail.

Have you Googled the person's name or looked in your phone book? If they're really your neighbor I would log in. I've heard of Nextdoor before, it is a "real thing."
