Smart Red,
The greenhouse is to the west of my house. It is not in the view from any window in the house. It is visible from the front porch.
Here is when the greenhouse knee wall was in progress. Still looking towards the south, the GH site is to the west of my driveway.
I got a few views for you, Mary.

Most large flower bulbs, like amaryllis, hyacinth, and narcissus already have their flower buds and future leaves formed in the bulb. All they need is moisture and proper temperature to grow. The food supply they need is already stored in the bulb. Good light helps, without it the leaves and...
Smart Red,
Your begonia looks bushy, colorful, and pretty. I saw a similar type of begonia at a friend's kitchen window that was one four feet tall stick, with a small ambrella of leaves on the top!

No Mary, I don't have a vegetable garden. Two years ago I planted some veggies. My crops had to be harvested in a short period of time! I had a lot of veggies for a few weeks, and done!

Jack, could you please elaborate on coffee grounds for jasmines? How much and how often for a 4" pot? I have a grand duke of Tuscany that has been fairly weak for about a year and half and needs help.
Many Thanks!

Mary,
I don't have much of a garden in the ground to post pictures of! Almost anything planted in the earth at my yard is fair game for bunnies, deer, and turkeys! Each fall I add bulbs to the landscape. Some make it and, in spring, they look nice under the trees.
Closer to my house, I use...
Smart Red,
My greenhouse is heated by electric resistance heat to an average minimum of 52 degrees. I have many Tropical plants. Unfortunately natural gas is not available at my house. Other than electric heat, my other alternative, geothermal heat due to its upfront high cost, as well was...
So sorry to hear that the rooster may have to be killed! My eyes are filled with tears! Please give him a chance, Thistleboom! Behavioral problems, as WE see them for a rooster, are not his fault! He is just a rooster. Quoting LZ "Sometimes all of our thoughts are misgiven. Ooh it makes me...
Now that my amaryllis is on the home page, I may as well show off my greenhouse! There has not been too many sunsets in recent memory, clouds like us too much around here. These pictures are from last year!
I buy it for its convenience! Particularly this time of the year. I only do a couple of flats. I don't have a particular brand. I like a light-weight mix and it has to be sterile. Once I tried to microwave a non-sterile mix. Too messy!

Cyclamens do well in winter in a cool greenhouse or by a sunny window in a cool room.
I have an old plant that sets seeds every year and allows me to have a good supply of young cyclamens.

Thank you everybody for your replies. Lavender2, I checked the links you provided, and Googled primrose jasmine. I am, now, convinced that is what I have. Thank you again!
