    huge asparagus

okay...so here is this beast...it is very tender and tastes great. I have never seen another asparagus anywhere near this size...is it just me or are there other huge asparagus out there? I counted 9 edible shoots on this, and they all get well over an inch in diameter. If this is special, I'd...

For your primer button...first you will need the make/model, and probably serial number of your machine. now you have 2 options..google for an owners manual, and look at the parts list to get a part number...or go to a place like this...

    New Orchard

I hope they'll be organic. I had a guy make a tree farm across the road from me a few years back..he grew trees to sell to landscapers and nurseries. He had some gizmo over there that was motion activated and it sounded like a canon going off every time it was activated...animals get used to...

    Cosmo spring garden 2023

I raised sheep for years and they're very similar...except goats will eat everything ! Train them to come to you with food and a noise...anything from a whistle to a can with a few rocks in it to shake like a rattle...every time you feed them, make the noise..just be consistent....this will save...

    Advice for Starting/Growing Peppers?

I was always taught to flood hot peppers a couple of days before harvest to increase their heat?? I do let them dry out, but flood them first..it's supposed to trigger a panic mode in them and they increase their heat. There are tons of articles on this, just wondering if you've ever tried it...

    A Seed Saver's Garden

A couple of years ago I saw corn plants for sale at Lowes...I was shocked ! I always thought I had to start them outside, but I have seen transplants work since then..I have a friend that starts them in a tray filled with potting mix, then just pulls them apart and transplants them when they're...

What are you planting "new to you" this year?

@meadow have you tried both RK and Sunshine? From what I understand, (and I could be wrong)...Sunshine is sweeter, where RK is nuttier?? I guess it would depend on your taste buds and preference...I'd be interested to know which is the more productive, too.

What are you planting "new to you" this year?

I googled it, and it seems they are the same thing, just Courge Potimarron is the name it goes by in France, Kuri is the Japanese name.

What are you planting "new to you" this year?

It looks the same, but I've never tried it. The only thing I know is that RK is a bit more productive.

What are you planting "new to you" this year?

North of my house is my front yard...so not really an option unless I get desperate down the road ! I'm going to try Fall crops, I expext my biggest challenge with that will be timing, but I take lots of garden notes all through the season, so I'll get that down eventually, too.

What are you planting "new to you" this year?

I think it would help because the wind and air circulation would dry them out faster on a trellis than just sprawling on the ground.

What are you planting "new to you" this year?

@flowebug I have never had any bug or disease with my Red Kuri...I grow on a cattle panel, and if you have issues with fungal diseases, trellising may help. Red Kuri is the only pumpkin type squash that I grow, when I find something that works well for me I tend to stick with it.

What are you planting "new to you" this year?

I'm having the same problem here. I have to adjust to my"new normal"...if I could just figure out what that is. It seems we've been skipping Spring here altogether, we just get slammed from winter to summer, so many of my Spring crops are now going to be Fall crops. I am also trying shade cloth...
