That was a little to easy. Where was everyone? There's a whole bunch of people that didn't post anything. It doesn't really feel like I won anything. I don't want that to sound rude at all because I know many of you had bad luck and couldn't help it. I think I had a good dose of beginners luck. What happened to everyone else?
CONGRATULATIONS TO THE WINNER.... EMSEVERS

I was thinking the same thing about not many people posting! :idunno But... please don't let that take away from your spectacular pumpkin. :ya Last year the winner didn't even come close to 80 pounds! So great job. Please PM me your address. The prize will be some time coming, I haven't ordered yet - gotta wait til the end of the season.

I posted pictures of my pumpkin haul last year, just for fun. Baby veggies . . . that's what I go for!! Maybe a "Smallest Pumpkin Contest" . . . hmmm?

Congratulations to the Winner: Emsevers!

Well Emsevers, if you saw my tiny yard you would know I can't grow pumpkins here.

Mary
I'm sorry Mary. I don't have enough space at my house either. I'm lucky enough that my mom does and she let me use her space.

I was just curious about what happened with everyone else who entered the contest.

Thanks everyone. It was really fun. Maybe I should have waited to post until the 15th but I was just so excited that I actually grew something. I can't wait til next year now.

Please don't be embarrassed. I don't think most people go into this contest to win something - it's more for the friendship and fun.

So now that that's out there, I want to know what you fertilized your plant with.

... for next year.

When I planted it I used a bunch of manure mixed with the soil. Then I used Fox Farm's liquid fertilizer called "Grow Big". I also used some fish emulsion stuff that smells terrible. I didn't really use any fertilizer once the pumpkin set because I was afraid of using too much nitrogen.
