Gee, Major, except for the cages, poles and stakes, your garden looks a lot like mine.

I did spot my first Asparagus of the 2015 season after I locked up the chickens! It was poking up so they are coming!

I'd be in a zen-like happy place looking out at your garden every day, Major. That is the neatest and tidiest garden I've ever seen, I think.

thank you... our gardens use to be a kaoss of rows of veggies and soaker hoses going every which way spending hours upon hours weeding and watering, now after years of dragging the garden hose around, have gone to nice straight organized rows so much easier to water, weed and harvest.. <yup have become a anal gardener>

journey you are so right the gardens are my happy place you and the family are alway welcome to come down...

You are a week ahead of me in that harvest. My mouth is watering and I am waiting. I love asparagus -- and not just because it is my first homegrown veggie of the year.

Your gardens are looking real good in their plain browns Major, and before long will be in their dressy greens!

I wish my boss would let me take a week off this time of year. :(

ordered from the potato garden last year, have to say was a little overwhelmed growing 15 lbs of seed potatoes. do not get me wrong had a great harvest but just did not a a good place to store them. so plant early and try doing a late season planting for a fall harvest as well. never know till you try.!

Hello Major! Gotta love the potatoes, I was sick for a little while and when I finally felt up to it I planned a nice meal( other than the emergency meals in the freezer) opened up the vegetable drawer to find 5-8 inch plants growing from my spuds.!!:barnie took them out and planted them and within a few days had a frost. Thought I had lost them but as of now I have 2 garden boxes full of 6+ tall plants!!!:drool No idea what the reds are but the white potatoes are Yukon Gold. May I'll start my second planting in Bags.
didn't see your blackberry's do you still have them? thanks to a great teacher I now have 4 trellises of blackberries and one young kiwi!!:celebrate
