@Bluejay77 , the Hilo Laotian Lady lima I had potted up has piddled out and died. I am very sorry to have lost that one. :( If you have any more seed, I'd say it will do better a bit farther south than me. In the garden, it did get so far as to make pods, but they didn't have time to fill out and mature before the frost hit. That was around Oct. 20th here.

Yes that really helps for anyone who wants to look at the bean images. I had no idea that something like that existed. That might be just enough until I get home and can hopefully repair the site.

The problem being in part that I think there are some bad files loading.

i'm happy to help you get it going again if you have a local copy that you just need uploaded to the server or something to check out for you that you can't see from where you are at...

from what i can see it looks like all picture files are missing, but the text parts all look ok.

i run my own website so the procedures of uploading/downloading are ok to me (along with many others :) ).

i used to code my old site in html by hand, but that was too much work to test and update so i switched it all to hugo and that is much easier. what i like is that i can test it locally on my machine before i push it to the hosting server.

@flowerbug,

I believe all the image files are on the server. I'm not sure all the file folders are at the correct level. Page A-Ce also has the Abnaki bean on the page which shouldn't be there. I had taken that bean off the page. Somehow it's as if it loaded an old copy of the bean pages. What started me trying to fix the site was the header image on the home or index page would not load. When you looked at the page source the image ref tag was not in the header div. Then when you clicked on the link to go to page A-Ce the image tag was of course on that page, and of course the header image was there. Then from page A-Ce when you clicked the home link the header image loaded on the home page and then if you viewd a new copy of the page source the image ref tag was suddenly there. What the heck can cause that to happenl It's seemed as if to me that a different copy of the home page was being loaded the second time.

Should I PM you my FileZilla login details and you can take a look at what is on the server side. I'm wondering if I should email you an entire copy of the site. I think I do have a good copy on a flash drive. The last time I updated the site I made a copy to my flash drive.

@flowerbug,

I just discovered that I did not bring the flash drive with me that has the current copy of the website on it. I don't know if there is anything you can do.

ok, i guess we wait. :)

if you are seeing any images at all i suspect they are what you have on your local machine in your file cache for the browser. if you clear that local cache out you will likely see that no images at all are being served from the web site host.

the above link at least does give pictures...

it's a nice day here, i'm heading outside...

I'm on the hunt again:)...Is anyone growing the Polish runner Piekny Jas ? If so would you be willing to share a few seeds, I have lots of different varieties to do a trade.

Annette

As some of you know one of my contacts found them and she's popping some in the mail on Monday. She found them yesterday in a local Polish deli, the very first one she tried maybe the force was with her or maybe the luck of the Irish ;), they buy them in bulk and repackage, it's the only dry bean they sell. When they arrive I'll do a germination test to see if they're viable. They say this is a big bean, Gigandes and Salmos Greek Lima (not a Lima) are the biggest white seeded runners I have, we'll see if this one compares in size.

in the pictures i can't tell if they are from the same family (or group, not sure what to call them) as the scarlet runner beans or a large white bean variety.

They are big. Much fatter than a large Lima (butterbean) and bigger too. Yeah, it's like a pregnant butterbean.

A bit of a delay, before sending she wants to see if they germinate. Here's a pic of a seed packet of Piekny Jas sold in Europe.

A picture taken of a few Piekny Jas just bought at the deli.

A picture of the Gigandes, (runner) I have.

A picture of another runner I have Salmos Greek Lima, it's not a Lima, it's a runner.

There's another runner that has Lima in it's name Bond's Orcas Lima, seed between
1 1/8 to 1 1/4'' long. Having Lima in the name really adds to the confusion. The last two pictures are definitely runners P. Coccineus., I think Piekny Jas is also a runner, the test will be when they pop through the ground.
