@Bluejay77 Tennessee Green Pod is almost up or has overtopped the sticks I put in the tub they are growing in. I'm going to savage a weed tree in my fence to get some longer poles. This bean may be crossed with a pole bean or could be a pole bean in its own right.

@VA_LongBean,

Very interesting. Are some of the Tennessee Greenpods growing like a bush bean? The one that seems to want to grow like a pole it will be interesting to see what the seeds it produces look like.

The Mrs. Maud's Lima beans are up about a foot or a little more and holding themselves on stout stems but no indication of wanting to vine. I imagine they just haven't thought about it yet.

It's been very dry here, I filled a 55 gallon drum for that garden today and will be giving them a drink when the chlorine evaporates. Maybe that will give them a little boost.

so far Purple Dove is the only red stem i've seen in the sprouts.

no sign of the lone Red Bollito. :( in a few more days i can remove the wire cage from around that space as the rest of the beans in there will be heading for the fence.

the rest of the network beans seem to be germinating ok.

All but one are making tall vines. Now growing up new poles cut from a mimosa tree. I've meant to take photos but my evenings haven't been free this week.

one last bonus bean garden inside the fence to plant yet. on rain break today it looks like so that will have to be planted tomorrow. forecast says only a quarter inch of rain due, but we've had plenty more than that already.

this is good to soak down the beans i've planted the past few days as that soil is more on the sandy side and was a bit dry. i did water them in as usual after planting but this will make sure they get good and plumped up and ready to go for the sunshine next week. :)

I have both Good & Bad news.

Chestnut Flavored have made Beans. So far only 1/2 dozen pods, but I'll take what I can get. I credit it to having mostly shade with just enough sunshine.

Tennessee Green Pod & Woods Mountain Crazy Bean are toast. Literally burned up in this heat. They were in full sun.

Hoteko never made it to be a foot tall. They just sat there and finally died. I had one in shade and one in full sun.

Pienky Jas looks like it's been through WWIII. It burst out the ground climbed to about 4 feet then I started getting 95 to 100 degree days and it's just withering despite me babying it. It gets sun & shade.

Oaxacan Cream looks fair, I think I can keep it alive, but it sure doesn't like the heat either. It was thriving before these 95 to 100 degree days. It's about 8' tall.

Lots of success on the tomato front

Hola fellow legume enthusiasts - I came across mention of Heirloom Emily Lee Peas which sound delightful; however, I am without luck locating a source for some seeds. I am curious if anyone here has experience with them and has a source for seeds, Thanks again!
